Administration
Should be taken with food: Swallow whole w/ glass of water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Parkinson's disease, parkinsonian symptoms, tremors, restless leg syndrome, & other related movement disorder. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min). Not recommended during breastfeeding.
Discontinue use in occurrence of movement disorder eg, parkinsonian symptoms, restless leg syndrome, tremors, gait instability. Not a curative treatment for angina attacks, nor an initial treatment for unstable angina pectoris or MI, nor in the pre-hospital phase or during the 1st days of hospitalization. Can aggravate or cause symptoms similar to those of Parkinson's disease. Falls may occur following a drop in BP or loss of balance, particularly in patients taking antihypertensives. Patients w/ moderate renal impairment. Not to be taken during pregnancy. Elderly >75 yr.
