Patients with the following conditions should be careful in taking Phenylpropanolamine (PPA): high blood pressure, toxic goiter, benign prostatic hypertrophy, heart rate irregularity, glaucoma and if taking antidepressants.
This product contains FD & C yellow #5 (Tartrazine) which may cause allergic type reactions (including Bronchial Asthma) in certain susceptible persons.
Consult the doctor before taking Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) if the patient thinks they have the following conditions: heart disease, uncontrolled/untreated high blood pressure.
