IM Adult & childn 6 mth-9 yr One 0.5-mL single inj. Previously unvaccinated childn 6 mth-8 yr Two 0.5-mL dose, 2nd dose to be given after at least 4-wk interval.
Hypersensitivity to vaccine or formalin. History of severe hypersensitivity, anaphylaxis & suspected allergic reaction to previous vaccine; Guillain-Barre syndrome or other neurological disorder w/in 6 wk of previous vaccination. Febrile disease or acute infection; fever; acute, exacerbated or active CV, renal & hepatic disease; acute resp disease or other active infection.
Special Precautions
Not to be inj IV. Potential anaphylaxis response after vaccination. Chronic CV or resp disease; DM; bleeding disorder eg, hemophilia or thrombocytopenia; syncope. Insufficient Ab response in patients w/ inherited or iatrogenic immunodeficiency. Avoid repeating vaccination at the same site. Not to be mixed w/ other medicinal products. Concomitant use w/ anticoagulants. Women of childbearing potential. Pregnancy & lactation.
