Meclozine and Pyridoxine are combined in this medicine.
Meclozine + Pyridoxine is used to treat or prevent nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness (unpleasant feeling when you're travelling).
This medicine may also be used to treat vertigo (dizziness with sensations of spinning).
Take Meclozine + Pyridoxine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist whether you should take this medicine with or without food. Different brands of this medicine may be taken differently.
For the prevention of motion sickness, it should be taken the night before or 1 hour before the travel.
You may stop taking Meclozine + Pyridoxine when you do not feel nauseous, have spinning sensations, or the urge to vomit.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.
DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.
Inform your doctor if you have the following conditions:
- asthma
- glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
- myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness disorder)
- enlarged prostate gland
- blocked stomach outlet
- liver disease
- kidney disease
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving Meclozine + Pyridoxine to a child. Children may be more sensitive to the side effects.
Individual's genetic traits are unique from each other. Researchers say that certain genetic traits can affect the effectiveness or enhance the side effects of this medicine. Though not routinely done, in some exceptional cases, your doctor may advise you to undergo genetic testing to check if this medicine is best suited for you.
Meclozine + Pyridoxine may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert.
Other side effects include any of the following: headache, blurred vision, dry nose, and dry throat.
Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines:
- medicines to treat depression
- medicines for anxiety
- medicines for epilepsy (fits or seizures)
- altretamine (medicine for cancer)
- isoniazid (medicine to treat TB [lung infection known as tuberculosis])
- birth control pills
This list does not include all medicines that may interact with Meclozine + Pyridoxine.
Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements, and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
Avoid alcohol. Alcohol intake may worsen the drowsiness caused by Meclozine + Pyridoxine.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
