Each 100 g contains: Methyl Salicylate 10.20 g, Menthol 5.44 g, Eugenol 1.36 g.
Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics: Pharmacological actions: FLANIL is an analgesic cream. Methyl Salicylate, menthol and eugenol which are the active ingredients in FLANIL cream together exert the action of counterirritant.
Mechanism of action: The mechanism of action is poorly understood.
Pharmacokinetics: FLANIL is a local analgesic cream. It is applied to the skin or muscle to relieve muscular discomforts or pruritus, urticaria. When applying the cream, very small amount are absorbed because it has only local counterirritant effects. Methyl Salicylate, Menthol and Eugenol are all aromatic volatile substances.
For temporary relief of minor ache and pains of muscle and joints associated with arthritis, strains, sprains and rheumatism.
Apply to the affected area 3-4 times daily.
Route of administration: Topical.
No symptoms of overdosage have been reported. Should they occur, symptomatic treatment should be provided.
Should not be given to patients who have known hypersensitivity to any active ingredients or other ingredients in the preparation.
If irritation occurs, dosage should be reduced or reduce the frequency of the treatment. This product contains methyl salicylate and when applied or rubbed onto the skin, can be absorbed through the skin into the blood. For patients taking warfarin, excessive application onto the skin for muscle or joint pains may increase the chances of bleeding.
Local irritation may rarely occur.
Store in a cool dry place at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Protect from light, heat and moisture.
Shelf-Life: The shelf-life period is 3 years.
