Discontinue use if rash occurs & monitor for signs of hypersensitivity. Not recommended in patients w/ established CV disease (CHF, established ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease) or uncontrolled HTN; risk factors for CV disease eg, HTN, hyperlipidaemia, DM, smoking, alcoholism. Severe cutaneous reactions eg, SJS & TEN (Lyell's syndrome). Risk of GI ulceration, bleeding & perforation; peptic ulcer; asthma, bronchospasm; GI anastomotic leak. Monitor blood counts, renal & hepatic function. High-dose & long-term use. Concomitant use w/ corticosteroids. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Severe hepatic or renal damage. Not recommended during 3rd trimester of pregnancy & lactation. Elderly or debilitated patients.
