The use of Avofer is contraindicated in the following conditions: Hypersensitivity to iron sucrose, Avofer or to any of its excipients listed in Description; Anaemia not caused by iron deficiency; Evidence of iron overload or disturbances in utilisation of iron; Pregnancy first Trimester.
