Duodenal or gastric ulcer, moderate & severe reflux esophagitis 1 vial daily. Long-term management of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome & other pathological hypersecretory conditions 80 mg daily. Elderly, renal impariment Max: 40 mg daily. Severe liver impairment 20 mg.
Contraindications
Mild GI complaints eg, nervous dyspepsia.
Special Precautions
Exclude the possibility of gastric ulcer malignancy or malignant disease of the esophagus prior treatment. Renal & hepatic impairment. Discontinue if increase in liver enzyme occur. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Leucopenia, thrombocytopenia; GI disorders; thrombophlebitis or peripheral edema at inj site; severe hepatocellular damage leading to jaundice w/ or w/o hepatic failure; anaphylactic reactions including anaphylactic shock; increased liver enzymes, triglycerides & body temp; arthralgia, myalgia; headache, dizziness, visual disturbances; mental depression; interstitial nephritis; skin & SC tissue disorders.
