Misoprostol

Indications/Uses

Prophylaxis of NSAID-induced gastric ulcer.

Dosage/Direction for Use

200 mcg 4 times daily.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to prostaglandin. Women of childbearing potential. Pregnancy & lactation.

Special Precautions

Regularly perform pregnancy test prior to treatment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr.

Adverse Reactions

GI upset eg, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, gynecological disorder (cramps, spotting, menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea).
