Per 4 g sachet NaCl, KCl, CaCl, MgCl, Na bicarbonate
Indications/Uses
Nasal congestion, sinus pressure, secretions, nasopharyngeal discharge, encrustations & nasal dryness.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & child >4 yr Rhinitis, sinusitis, rhinosinusitis, allergic rhinitis, post-op care & general hygiene Dissolve 1 sachet in 240 mL spring or mineral water for isotonic soln. Post-op care: 1-3 applications/day. General hygiene: 2-3 applications/wk. Heavy nasal congestion Dissolve 2 sachets in 240 mL spring or mineral water for hypertonic soln. 1 application/day for 3-5 days.
Contraindications
Not to be used if the nose is completely blocked or suffering from severe nosebleed; has ear infection eg, otitis, earwax build-up or has recently undergone ear surgery; difficulties in keeping the balance.
Special Precautions
Do not replace physiomer nasal irrigation sachets w/ home-made salt formulas containing cooking salts. Do not carry out nasal irrigation w/ spring or mineral water w/o the addition of 1 or 2 physiomer nasal irrigation sachets; may cause nasal congestion. Carry out nasal irrigation at least 1 hr before going out in the cold (risk of rhinitis). Consult a physician if symptoms persist for >10 days in case of acute illness (cold, temporary sinusitis or rhinosinusitis).
