Per 5 mL syr Isothipendyl 2 mg, acetaminophen 120 mg, phenylephrine HCl 5 mg. Per mL paed drops Isothipendyl HCl 1 mg, acetaminophen 120 mg, phenylephrine HCl 1 mg

Indications/Uses

To relieve the symptoms accompanying flu eg, fever, headache, common cold, myalgia & nasal congestion.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Syr Childn >6 yr 10 mL, 2-6 yr 5 mL. Paed drops Childn >6 yr 2-4 mL, 2-6 yr 1-2 mL. All doses to be taken 3-4 times daily.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Asthma, diabetes, HTN, cardiac & thyroid disorders.

Special Precautions

Renal impairment, glaucoma, insomnia, nervousness, headache & palpitation. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <2 yr.

Adverse Reactions

Nervousness, insomnia, headache, nausea & gastric irritation. Causes liver damage in high doses.

Amphetamine or propanolamine, MAOIs.
