Contents

Per 5 mL Pseudoephedrine HCl 15 mg, chlorphenamine maleate 1 mg

Indications/Uses

Relief of sneezing & nasal congestion due to common cold.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & childn >12 yr 10 mL 3 times daily; 6-12 yr 5 mL 3 times dailly; 2-<6 yr 2.5 mL 3 times daily.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to other sympathomimetics (eg, ephedrine, phenylpropanolamine HCl, phenylephrine). Severe HTN. Receiving MAOIs therapy.

Special Precautions

Glaucoma, prostate hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, urinary retention, heart disorders, DM. Concomitant use w/ other CNS depressants. HTN or stroke, eg, overwt. Liver & kidney dysfunction. May impair the ability to drive the vehicle or operate the machinery. Pregnancy, lactation. Elderly.

Adverse Reactions

Insomnia, headache, excitation, tremor, tachycardia, arrhythmia, palpitation, dry mouth, micturition difficulties, GI disturbances. Chlorpheniramine maleate: Drowsiness, dry mouth.

Drug Interactions

Hypertensive crisis w/ MAOIs. Central-acting agents (eg, sympathomimetic, antidepressant) may be enhanced w/ pseudoephedrine HCl or chlorphenamine.
