Contents
Hyoscine-N-butylbromide 10 mg, paracetamol 500 mg
Indications/Uses
Paroxysmal pain in diseases of the stomach or small intestine, spastic pain in the biliary & urinary tracts & genital organs (eg, dysmenorrhea).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1-2 FC caplet 3 times daily. Max daily dose: 6 FC caplet.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole w/ a little water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Porphyria. Not to be given in patients w/ glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy w/ urinary retention, mechanical stenosis of GIT, tachycardia, megacolon. Not to be used in patients w/ impaired liver function.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ kidney disease, heart disorders, ulcerative colitis, paralytic ileus & pyloric stenosis. May cause liver damage in large doses. Avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages. May affect the ability to drive motor vehicles or operate machinery. Pregnancy (especially 1st trimester) & lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth & skin, constipation, palpitations, flushing, cardiac arrhythmia, bradycardia & tachycardia; paradoxical reaction (sleep disturbances) & affect vision.
