Pseudoephedrine HCl

Indications/Uses

Relief of nasal congestion due to cold.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Childn 2-5 yr 0.8 mL 3 times daily.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to other sympathomimetic drugs. Severe HTN.

Special Precautions

HTN, impaired liver & kidney function, prostate hypertrophy, hyperthyroid, glaucoma, heart disorders, DM. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <2 yr. Elderly.

Adverse Reactions

Insomnia, headache, palpitation, excitation, tremor, arrhythmia, tachycardia, urinary difficulties.

Drug Interactions

Concomitant use w/ MAOIs may cause hypertensive crisis.
