Description
Dermatix Wound Care is a 3-in-1 hydrogel of proven efficacy.
Immediate pain relief: This cool-relief hydrogel soothes a wound almost instantly through its cooling effect.
Helps to accelerate healing: Fast wound healing through optimal hydration.
Helps to prevent infections: The formula consists of an acidic polymer (carbomer), the acidity of which is regulated by carnosine (a basal peptide naturally present in the skin) and which keeps the infection under control.
Action
The Skin: The skin is the largest organ in the human body and provides daily protection against harmful influences. If this protective layer is damaged, individuals become susceptible to infections and inflammations. Although in most cases the body can repair the skin itself, correct wound care is essential in preventing complications.
How does Dermatix Wound Care work: Dermatix Wound Care is an intelligent hydrogels that regulates the moisture content in the wound bed.
It consists of an acidic polymer (carbomer), the acidity of which is regulated by carnosine (a basal peptide naturally present in the skin) and which keeps the infection under control.
Intelligent wound care with Dermatix Wound Care: The body reacts to a wound by forming a scab as quickly as possible, which covers the damaged piece of skin and restores the barrier against micro-organisms. However, this slows down the healing process. Therefore, it is better not only to disinfect the wound, but also to keep it moist during healing. In addition, many wounds (such as burns) initially dry out before subsequently releasing moisture.
For this reason, "intelligent hydrogels" such as Dermatix Wound Care are used to stop the wound from drying out by releasing moisture, but at the same time it can also absorb excess moisture if the wound becomes too moist. Only an ideal moisture content in the wound prevents the formation of scabs and skin cracks, and ensures optimum skin recovery. Dermatix Wound Care also has a direct cooling and soothing effect as the selected excipients support the activity of the hydrogel.
Indications/Uses
Sunburn; Superficial burns; Cuts; Abrasions; Cracked skin; Scrapes and scratches.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Wash hands thoroughly before and after treating the wound.
Superficial burns: Cool the wound immediately for twenty minutes under lukewarm running water. Do this as quickly as possible, as the beneficial effect is reduced after 30 minutes. To avoid excessive cooling do not use overly cold water.
Once or twice a day apply a thin layer of Dermatix Wound Care to the area to be treated without touching it with the container. Do not rub the gel in.
Apply a bandage or plaster and use a new bandage or plaster each time.
Sunburn and irritated skin after exposure to the sun: Clean the area to be treated.
Once or twice a day apply a thin layer of Dermatix Wound Care to the area to be treated without touching it with the container. Do not rub the gel in.
If necessary, apply a bandage or plaster. Use a new bandage each time.
Small wounds: Clean and disinfect the wound.
If necessary, carefully pat dry with sterile gauze.
Once or twice a day apply a thin layer of Dermatix Wound Care to the wound without touching it with the container.
Do not rub the gel in.
If necessary, apply a bandage or plaster. Use a new bandage each time.
After the wound heals, use Dermatix Ultra for professional scar management.
Special Precautions
Do not use the product if the patient is hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients. In very rare cases, irritation has been reported. If irritation or an allergenic reaction occurs, stop treatment immediately.
Dermatix Wound Care is not suitable for large grazes (larger than 20 cm2).
Dermatix Wound Care can be used on superficial burns: burns involving the epidermis and/or dermis, usually characterized by swelling, red skin and blisters.
Do not use Dermatix Wound Care on face, eyes, eyelids or mucosa.
Always consult a doctor: for larger, extensive or very deep wounds; for small, badly infected wounds; in the event of slow healing or a risk of complication.
In such cases, Dermatix Wound Care can also be helpful, but by no means suffices as the only treatment.
