Indications and Dosage
Topical/Cutaneous
Mycosis fungoides
Adult: In patients with mycosis fungoides-type cutaneous T-cell lymphoma stage IA and IB who have received prior skin-directed therapy: As 0.016% gel: Apply a thin film once daily to the affected area(s). Dosing interruption or discontinuation may be required according to individual safety or tolerability (refer to detailed product guidelines).
Special Precautions
Pregnancy and lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Significant: Accidental eye exposure (e.g. pain, burning, inflammation, photophobia, blurred vision, blindness, severe irreversible anterior eye injury), mucous membrane exposure (e.g. pain, redness and ulceration); hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. anaphylaxis); moderately severe to severe dermatitis; secondary exposure (e.g. mucosal injury); secondary malignancy (e.g. nonmelanoma skin cancer).
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Local skin reactions (e.g. swelling, inflammation, pruritus, blisters, skin infections, hyperpigmentation).

Patient Counseling Information
Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes and unaffected areas. Avoid direct skin contact in individuals other than the patient. Women of childbearing potential and men with female partners of childbearing potential must use a barrier method of contraception during treatment.
Monitoring Parameters
Monitor for dermatologic toxicity. Assess for signs and symptoms of nonmelanoma skin cancer (during and after treatment); hypersensitivity reactions.
Action
Description:
Mechanism of Action: Chlormethine, a bifunctional nitrogen mustard alkylating agent, forms inter- and intra-strand DNA cross-links resulting in DNA synthesis inhibition.
Synonym(s): Mechlorethamine.

Storage
Unopened tube (prior to dispensing): Store between -15 to -25°C. After defrosting: Store between 2-8°C. This is a cytotoxic drug. Follow applicable procedures for receiving, handling, administration, and disposal.
