Each gram of gel/cream contains: Azelaic Acid 200 mg.
Pharmacology: Azelaic Acid acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, reducing the formation of microcomedo in acne, and normalizing keratinization process.
Topical treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris.
After cleansing the skin with cleansing cream/lotion, apply Aza 20 gel/cream to the affected area twice daily (morning and evening).
If irritation occurs, reduce application to once daily until irritation ceases, or interrupt treatment temporarily.
In general, a distinct improvement becomes apparent after about 4 weeks. To obtain the best results, this product should be used regularly over several months, but not longer than 6 months.
Patients who are hypersensitive to Azelaic Acid.
Care must be taken that this product doesn't come into contact with eyes. If it does, wash the eyes with plenty of water.
Avoid using this product during pregnancy and lactation.
If irritation occurs, stop the application this product.
Application of this product in pregnant women only if it is really necessary.
Generally well tolerated. Local skin irritation occasionally occurs, but generally mild and temporary. Frequent observed side effects: pruritus, burning, erythema, rash, irritation, dermatitis.
Store below 30°C, tightly closed, and protect from light.
