Xylocaine Injection also contains the following excipients: Sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and/or HCl for pH adjustment and water for injections. It is sterile, isotonic and has a pH of approximately 5-7. It contains no antimicrobial agent. The active ingredient in Xylocaine is lignocaine HCl.
