PULMOCARE is a high-calorie, low-carbohydrate product designed to reduce carbon dioxide production. Low-carbohydrate diets help decrease carbon dioxide production after meals, which may be helpful for people with COPD. One 8-fl-oz serving (355 calories) meets or exceeds 25% of the RDI for 24 key vitamins and minerals.

Therapeutic nutrition for people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Suitable for lactose intolerance.

Shake well.
Oral Feeding: May be used for total or supplemental nutrition. May be fed at room temperature or chilled.
Tube Feeding: Osmolality: 475 mOsm/kg water. Adjust flow rate and volume according to patient's condition and tolerance. Feed by pump at room temperature with an 8 Fr or larger tube; use a 10 Fr or larger tube for gravity feeding. Additional fluid requirements should be met by giving water between or after feedings, or when flushing the tube.

Use under medical supervision. Not for IV use.

Avoid contamination during preparation and use. Clean top of container thoroughly before opening.

Store unopened at room temperature. Once opened, cover, refrigerate and use within 48 hours.
