PediaSure 1+ is suitable for young children 1-3 years old. PediaSure 1+ is also suited for use as tube feeding. PediaSure 3+ is suitable for children 3-10 years old.
PediaSure can be used as a nutritional supplement with or between meals or as a sole source of nutrition.
PediaSure is suitable for children: whose patterns of growth are below those of their age group; whose caloric and nutrient requirements are increased due to a medical condition; who are undernourished or have decreased food intake due to illness or diminished appetite.

PediaSure 1+: To prepare one approximately 225 mL serving: pour 190 mL of room temperature or cold water into a cup and gradually mix in 5 leveled scoops or approximately 48.6 g of PediaSure 1+ powder.
1-3 years: 2 servings per day^.
Theoretical target scoop delivery weight = approximately 9.72 g.
^ One serving = 48.6 g powder in 190 mL water to yield 225 mL.
PediaSure 3+: To prepare one 225 mL standard serving: pour 190 mL of room temperature or cold water into a cup and gradually mix in 5 leveled scoops [or approximately 48.6 g (vanilla); 49.2 g (chocolate)] of PediaSure 3+ powder.
3-8 years: 2 servings per day^.
9-10 years: 2-3 servings per day^.
^ One serving = 48.6 g (vanilla) or 49.2 g (chocolate) powder in 190 mL water to yield 225 mL.

Before deciding to supplement or replace breastfeeding with this product, parents must be advised the necessity of its use. It is important for the baby's health that all preparation instructions are followed carefully.
Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing formula. Failure to follow instructions could result in severe harm. Never use a microwave oven to prepare or warm formula. Serious burns can result. Mixing PediaSure with water above 35°C (95°F) may compromise the benefits of the probiotics. There could also be health risks of introducing the product prior to the recommended age. The spray dry process involving certain ingredients in powder manufacturing might result in a very few dark particles. This is normal in powder processing.

Parents must be advised regarding the child's specific nutrition needs.

Important notice: Breastfeeding is the normal means of feeding infants and young children. Breastmilk is the natural food for their healthy growth and development. Use of breastmilk substitutes may put infants at risk of diarrhoea and other illnesses, when compared with breastfed infants. Breastfeeding is the best source of infant nutrition. Good maternal nutrition is important for preparation and maintenance of breastfeeding. When infant formula are to be used, a mother should be aware of the negative effect on breastfeeding along with financial and social implications of formula feeding, the difficulty of reversing the decision not to breastfeed, and the care that must be taken to prevent partial formula feeding from interfering with lactation. Parents must be advised before initiating formula feeding. Children should receive complementary food in addition to the formula milk from an age, as advised by a health worker, that is appropriate for their specific growth and development needs, and from 6 months of age onwards.

Powdered formula milk is not a sterile product and may become contaminated during preparation. Discard any feed that has not been consumed more than one hour after reconstitution.

Store unopened can in a cool, dry place at room temperature (not under refrigeration). Opened can should be covered and contents used within 3 weeks. Once mixed, PediaSure should be covered, refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
