Ethyl butylacetylaminopropionate

Indications/Uses

Protection against mosquitoes including tiger mosquitoes for 8 hr & ticks for 12 hr. Repellent for mosquitoes that carry diseases eg, malaria, chikungunya, dengue, zika virus & tick-borne Lyme disease. Suitable for adults & childn from 12 mth of age; sensitive skin; G6PD deficiency; pregnant women & lactating mothers.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Spray directly onto exposed parts of the skin & spread by hand (do not spray directly onto face, but spray onto hands then apply to face). Apply only to exposed areas of clothing. Wait at least 20 min after sunscreen application. Rate of application: Adult & childn ≥6 yr Apply bd at most. Childn 1-5 yr Apply max of once a day. Number of applications: Adult & adolescent >12 yr 7 for head & neck, 5 per arm, 2-3 per hand, 8 per leg, 3 per foot. Childn 6-11 yr 3 for head & neck, 3 per arm, 4 per leg, 2-5 yr 3 for head & neck, 2 per arm, 3 per leg, 1-2 yr 2-3 for head & neck, 2 per arm, 2 per leg.

Special Precautions

Application to childn must be done by an adult. Do not use on childn's hands. Do not apply to cuts, wounds, freshly shaved or irritated skin. Do not put under clothing. Do not use near foodstuffs & surfaces that may come into contact w/ food or drink intended for human consumption. Do not use w/ other repellents. Avoid contact w/ synthetic materials. Risk of serious eye irritation. Rinse w/ water for several min in case of contact w/ eyes & remove contact lenses if present.
