Why do I need this medicine?
Isoconazole is used to treat fungal skin infections on or near the hands, in between the toes, and in the groin or genital area.
How do I use this medicine?
Apply Isoconazole exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

To use the cream, follow these steps:
  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Clean and dry the affected area before application.
  3. Rub the cream gently on the affected area(s) until it disappears. Do not cover, wrap or bandage the area unless instructed by the doctor.
  4. Wash your hands after using.
  5. Replace the cap of the tube.
Avoid contact of this medicine with your eyes. Rinse immediately with water if it gets into your eyes. Alert your doctor if you start to have any problems with your eyes.

Use Isoconazole at regular intervals. Do not skip any doses. You must complete the entire course of this medicine. If you don't, the infection will not be properly controlled.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose to make up for a missed dose.

If you often forget to apply your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
When should I not use this medicine?
Do not use Isoconazole if you ever had an allergic reaction (e.g. rashes, breathlessness, swollen eyes) to this medicine or any of its ingredients.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Maintain good hygiene as this is important in managing fungal infections.

Keep a towel for your own use. Do not share clothing, especially those that come into direct contact with the affected area, such as socks. Wash them properly and change them frequently to avoid spreading the infection to other areas of your body or to other people.
What side effects could I experience?
Isoconazole may cause any of the following side effects: burning sensation, itching, irritation and dryness on the skin of the application site.

If you develop rashes, breathlessness, swollen mouth or eyes, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor immediately. These could be signs of an allergic reaction.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are using any other creams, ointments, or other skin products on the affected area.

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking or using any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements, and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
