Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult Dissolve 1 sachet in 250 mL water. Take contents once daily.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to glucosamine, chondroitin, methylsulfonylmethane, or shellfish.

Special Precautions

Exclude presence of other joint conditions/diseases for which an alternative treatment should be considered. Contains chondroitin from bovine source. Patients w/ severe hepatic or renal impairment. Avoid in 1st trimester of pregnancy. Avoid use in childn.

Adverse Reactions

Rare: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dyspepsia or epigastric pain, constipation, heartburn, anorexia; drowsiness, headache, insomnia. Skin reactions eg, erythema, pruritus; peripheral oedema, tachycardia.

Drug Interactions

May reduce effectiveness of antidiabetic agents (eg, acarbose, acetohexamide, chlorpropamide, glipizide, glyburide, metformin, miglitol, pioglitazone, repaglinide, rosiglitazone, glimepiride, tolbutamide, troglitazone). Reduced effectiveness of doxorubicin, etoposide, teniposide. Elevated INR w/ & potentiation of anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Chitosan may form complexes w/ chondroitin sulfate decreasing its absorption.
