The following patients should be advised by a physician or pharmacist prior to taking medicine: Patients who themselves, their parents or brothers are constitutionally predisposed to urticaria, contact dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, migraine, food allergy, etc.; Patients with a history of drug allergy (e.g., fever, eruption, joint pain, itching, etc.); Patients with hepatic, renal or thyroid disease, diabetes mellitus, etc.; The deblitated; Patients with high fever; Patients with cardiac disease, hypertension or the allergy; Pregnant or suspected pregnant women or nursing mothers; Patients being treated by physician.
Precautions in administration: The advised dosage & administration should be followed.
It should not be administered concomitantly with other antitussives & expectorants, cold remedy, antihistamines, sedatives, etc.
It should be administered with caution to the children.
Precautions during & after administration: When abnormalities (e.g., eruption, rash, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, dizziness, etc.) are observed, discontinue the therapy and take appropriate measures.
As drowsiness may occur, the patients should be warned not to engage in activities requiring mental alertness such as operating a motor vehicle or other machinery.
When symptoms are not improved after the repeated use, discontinue the therapy and should be advised by a physician or pharmacist.
