Adult: As glucosamine sulfate conventional tab, cap, or powder for oral solution: 1,500 mg daily as a single dose or in divided doses of up to 3 times daily. As glucosamine hydrochloride effervescent tab or cap: 1,250 mg once daily. Dosage and treatment recommendations may vary among countries and between individual products (refer to specific product guidelines).

Chống chỉ định
Hypersensitivity to glucosamine and shellfish.
Thận trọng
Patient with known risk factors for CV disease, asthma, diabetes mellitus or impaired glucose tolerance. Not intended for the treatment of acute painful symptoms. Renal and hepatic impairment. Pregnancy and lactation.
Tác dụng không mong muốn
Significant: Hypercholesterolaemia, exacerbation of asthma. Gastrointestinal disorders: Nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, constipation, flatulence. General disorders and administration site conditions: Tiredness. Nervous system disorders: Headache, somnolence. Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Rash, itching. Vascular disorders: Flushing.

Monitor blood lipid levels (particularly in patients with risk factors for CV disease); blood glucose levels before treatment and periodically thereafter (in patients with impaired glucose tolerance).
May enhance the effect of coumarin anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin). May increase the absorption and serum concentrations of tetracyclines.
