Vonoprazan
Indications/Uses
Gastric & duodenal ulcer. Reflux esophagitis treatment & maintenance. Recurrence prevention of gastric or duodenal ulcer during NSAIDs administration. Adjunct to H. pylori eradication.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Gastric ulcer 20 mg once daily up to 8 wk. Duodenal ulcer 20 mg once daily up to 6 wk. Reflux esophagitis 20 mg once daily. Limit administration to 4 wk. May be continued for up to 8 wk when the effect is insufficient. Maintenance in recurrence & relapse: 10 mg once daily. May be increased to 20 mg once daily when efficacy is inadequate. Recurrence prevention of gastric or duodenal ulcer during NSAIDs administration 10 mg once daily. Adjunct to H. pylori eradication Vonoprazan 20 mg w/ amoxicillin & clarithromycin at the same time bd for 7 days. Alternatively, if treatment fails, may give vonoprazan 20 mg w/ amoxicillin & metronidazole at the same time bd for 7 days.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
