Ibuprofen

Indications/Uses

Symptomatic relief of pain (eg, headache including migraine, toothache, dysmenorrhoea, signs & symptoms of RA).

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 400 mg 2-4/day. Max daily dose: 1,600 mg.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Aspirin & other NSAID-induced allergic reactions due to cross reactivity. History or active peptic ulceration; GI bleeding; cerebrovascular bleeding; ulcerative colitis; hemorrhagic diathesis. Severe heart failure (NYHA IV). SLE & collagen diseases. Phenylketonuria. Severe hepatic &/or renal impairment. Avoid during pregnancy & lactation.
