Per 5 mL Dexchlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg, dextromethorphan HBr 5 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 15 mg
Indications/Uses
Nasal congestion, postnasal drip, sinusitis & rhinitis. Relief of cough.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Childn 6-11 yr 5 or 10 mL tds, 2-5 yr 5 mL tds.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Patients w/ severe HTN, severe coronary artery disease, receiving MAOI therapy. Not for the treatment of lower resp tract symptoms. Asthmatic patients.
Special Precautions
HTN, hyperthyroidism, DM, CV disease, narrow-angle glaucoma, stenosing peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal obstruction, symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Childn <2 yr. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Urticaria, drug rash, anaphylactic shock, photosensitivity, excessive perspiration, chills, dryness of mouth, nose & throat. Mild sedation. Dizziness, nausea, vomiting.
