Semaglutide

Indications/Uses

Adults w/ insufficiently controlled type 2 DM as an adjunct to diet & exercise as monotherapy when metformin is considered inappropriate due to intolerance or contraindications & in addition to other medicinal products for the treatment of diabetes.

Dosage/Direction for Use

SC Starting dose: 0.25 mg once wkly, increased to 0.5 mg once wkly after 4 wk. After at least 4 wk w/ 0.5 mg once wkly, can be increased to 1 mg once wkly to further improve glycaemic control.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.
