Irinotecan

Indications/Uses

In combination w/ fluorouracil & leucovorin in patients w/ metastatic adenocarcinoma of pancreas after disease progression following gemcitabine-based therapy.

Dosage/Direction for Use

IV 70 mg/m² infused over 90 min every 2 wk. Premed: Administer corticosteroid & anti-emetic 30 min prior to infusion. Patient known to be homozygous for UGT1A1*28 allele Initially 50 mg/m². May increase dose to 70 mg/m² if tolerated in subsequent cycles.

Contraindications

Severe hypersensitivity.
