Ibuprofen lysine
Indications/Uses
Pain relief (eg, headache, migraine, dental, period, rheumatic & muscular pain & backache). Relieves fever associated w/ cold & flu.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult, elderly & childn >12 yr 342 mg: 1 or 2 caplet up to tds as required. Leave at least 4 hr between doses. Max: 6 caplet/24 hr. 648 mg: 1 caplet up to tds as required. Leave at least 4 hr between doses. Max: 3 caplet/24 hr.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs. Active or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/haemorrhage (≥2 distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). History of GI bleeding or perforation, related to previous NSAIDs therapy. Severe heart, renal or hepatic failure. Patients who have recently undergone CABG surgery & revascularization procedures. Last trimester of pregnancy.
