Avalglucosidase alfa
Indications/Uses
Long-term enzyme replacement therapy for patients w/ Pompe disease (acid α-glucosidase deficiency).
Dosage/Direction for Use
IV 20 mg/kg once every 2 wk. Infantile-onset Pompe disease patient Increase dose to 40 mg/kg every other wk in the absence of safety concerns (eg, severe hypersensitivity, anaphylactic reactions or risk of fluid overload). Decrease dose to 20 mg/kg every other wk if unable to tolerate 40 mg/kg every other wk.
Contraindications
Life-threatening hypersensitivity when re-challenge was unsuccessful.
