Indications/Uses

ADHD.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Individualized dosage. May increase dose in 18 mg increments at wkly intervals. Max: 72 mg in adult & adolescent; 54 mg in childn. Adult patient new to methylphenidate Initially 18-36 mg once daily in the morning. Adolescent & childn new to methylphenidate 18 mg once daily in the morning. Patient currently using methylphenidate 10-60 mg/day.

Administration

May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole w/ liqd. Do not chew/divide/crush.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Patients w/ glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, severe angina pectoris, cardiac arrhythmia, phaeochromocytoma. Treatment w/ MAOIs or w/in a min of 14 days following discontinuation.
