Human cytomegalovirus Ig

Indications/Uses

Prophylaxis of clinical manifestations of cytomegalovirus infection in patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy particularly in transplant recipients.

Dosage/Direction for Use

IV Administer single dose of 1 mL/kg to be infused at an initial rate of 0.08 mL/kg/hr for the 1st 10 min on the day of transplantation. May gradually increase rate to a max of 0.8 mL/kg/hr for remainder of infusion if well tolerated.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Patients w/ selective IgA deficiency who developed IgA Ab.
