Maribavir

Indications/Uses

Adults w/ post-transplant cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection/disease, who are refractory (w/ or w/o genotypic resistance) or intolerant to ≥1 prior therapies.

Dosage/Direction for Use

400 mg bd. Co-administration w/ anticonvulsant Increase dose to 800 mg bd. Co-administration w/ phenytoin or phenobarb Increase dose to 1,200 mg bd.

Administration

May be taken with or without food: May disperse/crush tab & administer PO or through nasogastric/orogastric tube.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Co-administration w/ ganciclovir or valganciclovir.
