Carboplatin
Indications/Uses
Advanced ovarian cancer of epithelial origin. Small cell & non-small cell carcinoma of lung. Squamous cell carcinoma of head & neck. Advanced transitional cell carcinoma of bladder (in combination w/ other agents). Cervix carcinoma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IV Previously untreated adult w/ normal renal function 400 mg/m2 as single short-term infusion over 15-60 min. Renal impairment (CrCl 41-59 mL/min) Starting dose: 250 mg/m2, 16-40 mL/min Starting dose: 200 mg/m2.
Contraindications
History of severe allergic reactions to cisplatin or other platinum-containing compd. Patients w/ severe bone marrow depression or significant bleeding. Pre-existing severe renal impairment.
