Cytarabine

Indications/Uses

Remission induction & maintenance in acute myelocytic leukemia (AML) of adults & childn. Acute lymphocytic & chronic myelocytic (blast phase) leukemia. In combination w/ other antineoplastics in childn w/ non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult Single agent therapy: Up to 200 mg/m² daily as continuous IV infusion for 5 days (120 hr) repeated at approx 2 wkly intervals. Maintenance of AML Adult Employ similar drug therapy schedules to those used for induction, w/ greater interval between courses of therapy during remission maintenance. Induction & maintenance of AML Childn Individualized dosing being adjusted on consideration of factors (eg, age, body wt or BSA).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.
