Nitrofurantoin

Indications/Uses

Pyelonephritis, pyelitis & cystitis.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 50-100 mg qds for at least 1 wk & for at least 3 days after sterility of the urine is obtained.

Administration

Should be taken with food: Take w/ food or milk to minimize GI discomfort.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Anuria, oliguria or significant renal function impairment. Infants <1 mth. Pregnancy.
