Indications/Uses
Chemotherapy-induced nausea & vomiting in adults for prevention of acute & delayed nausea & vomiting associated w/ initial & repeat courses in moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy; for prevention of acute nausea & vomiting associated w/ initial & repeat courses in highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy. Post-op nausea & vomiting (PONV) in adults for prevention of PONV for up to 24 hr following surgery. Chemotherapy-induced nausea & vomiting in ped patients 1 mth to <17 yr for prevention of acute nausea & vomiting associated w/ initial & repeat courses of moderately or highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IV Chemotherapy-induced nausea & vomiting Adult 0.25 mg as single dose infuse over 30 sec beginning approx 30 min before the start of chemotherapy. Childn 1 mth to <17 yr 20 mcg/kg (max: 1.5 mg) as single dose infuse over 15 min beginning approx 30 min before the start of chemotherapy. PONV 0.075 mg as single dose over 10 sec immediately before anesth induction.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
