Adult: As 2% topical gel: Apply onto the affected area(s) tid.

Special Precautions
Avoid application on large areas of the body for prolonged periods or use in high concentrations.
Adverse Reactions
Significant: Skin sensitisation; methaemoglobinaemia and interference with thyroid function (particularly with prolonged use and at higher concentrations).
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Hyperpigmentation (particularly in dark-coloured skin), darkening of light-coloured hair.
Patient Counseling Information
Avoid contact with the eyes.

Mechanism of Action: Resorcinol has keratolytic properties and is commonly used in topical treatments for acne and seborrhoeic skin conditions.
