Paracetamol

Indications/Uses

Relief of painful & febrile conditions eg, headache, migraine, backache, toothache, aches due to cold & flu, muscular rheumatism, dysmenorrhea & fever.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & childn >12 yr 1 tab every 4-6 hr. Max: 6 tab daily.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions

Renal & hepatic impairment.

Adverse Reactions

Skin rash & other allergic reactions.

Drug Interactions

Increased toxicity w/ other potentially hepatotoxic drugs or drugs inducing liver microsomal enzymes. Accelerated absorption by metoclopramide. Altered plasma conc w/ probenecid. Reduced absorption w/ cholestyramine. Increased oral anticoagulant effects.
