Paracetamol

Indications/Uses

Relief of fever & pain eg, headache, toothache, colds, flu, muscular rheumatism, dysmenorrhoea, teething pains.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Tab Adult 2 tab tds-qds, childn 7-12 yr 1 tab tds-qds, 3-7 yr ½ tab tds-qds. Oral susp Childn 6-12 yr 5-10 mL tds-qds, 1-6 yr 2.5-5 mL tds-qds. Syr Childn 6-12 yr 10-20 mL tds-qds, 1-6 yr 5-10 mL tds-qds, 3 mth-1 yr 2.5-5 mL tds-qds.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

Nephropathy.

Special Precautions

Avoid chronic use. Renal & hepatic impairment.

Adverse Reactions

Skin rash & other allergic reactions.
