Per g Betamethasone valerate 1 mg, gentamicin sulfate 1 mg
Indications/Uses
Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses when complicated by secondary infections due to gentamycin-sensitive organisms or when such infection is suspected.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thinly over affected area twice daily, in the morning & night.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Not for ophth use. Discontinue treatment if irritation or sensitization occurs. Extensive & occlusive use may cause systemic absorption. May cause irritation, sensitization or superinfection caused by non-sensitive organism including fungi. Pregnancy & lactation. May cause hypothalamus-pituitary adrenal axis in infants & childn.
Adverse Reactions
Burn sensation, itching, irritation, dry skin, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruption, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis. Under occlusive dressing: Skin maceration, secondary infections, skin atrophy, stretchmarks. Erythema, pruritus.
